Dr Varsha Tembe is currently working at Westmead Millennium Institute in Sydney, Australia as post-doctoral Fellow. She completed M.S and BSc in Microbiology from Pune, India. She received her Ph.D. from University of Sydney. She served as a hospital scientist from 1991 to 2004 in the various Cytogenetic departments in hospitals in Sydney. After receiving her Ph.D. in 2008, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow on investing role of miRNAs in melanoma. She conducts translational research involving melanoma patients who are being treated with new immunotherapy. In addition she worked as a bio bank manager for melanoma. She is a member of Scientific Advisory Committee at Westmead Hospital, Australia. She works as a board of director on Prostate Cancer Foundation Australia. In her spare time she also actively participates for Indian community in Sydney, Australia.
