Prof. Ender Ödemiş was graduated from Ankara University in 1996, received the title of Specialist in Pediatrics from Hacettepe University in 2000, Specialist in Pediatric Cardiology in 2007 from Fatih University and became Associate Professor in the same year. He was appointed as founder clinic chief to the Department of Pediatric Cardiology of Istanbul Mehmet Akif Ersoy Training and Research Hospital in September of 2009. He has received the title of Professor in 2013. He has started to operate a system in which pediatric cardiology and Pediatric cardiovascular surgery performed in a few centers work as a team and pediatric cardiologists take active responsibility in the pediatric cardiac intensive care units and operation rooms. The clinic has swiftly become a reference center, and Dr. Ödemiş and his team achieved to realize pulmonary heart valve implantation with angiographic method for the first time in Turkey in 2010.
He has 58 articles published in international refereed journals, 29 papers presented in international scientific conferences and published in proceedings, 11 articles published in national refereed journals and 115 papers presented in national scientific conferences and published in proceedings. His publications have been referred to 94 times in international refereed journals.
He is still a member of executive board of Turkish Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery Society and member of European Pediatric Cardiology Association.
